The party. The tulle skirt was built in the costume shop and the other costume pieces were purchased.

The party. Romeo's sailor uniform was purchased, and Juliet's mermaid dress was built. The bodice is covered in origami shells made from fabric squares and bits of scrap fabrics.

The first fight. These costumes were purchased, and the ties were made in the costume shop.

The wedding. Juliet's wedding dress was purchased and her headband was made. Romeo's outfit was pulled from stock.

Mercutio's death. The shirt and shorts were purchased. The shorts were rigged with a pocket on the inside, and I developed a popping bag filled with blood. When struck with the prop knife, the bag would pop and she would start bleeding.

Tybalt's death. Romeo's costume was pulled from stock, while Tybalt's outfit was purchased.

Crowns. During the party scene, Mr. and Mrs. Capulet go as the King and Queen of Hearts. I made them from craft foam. This is an in-progress shot.
